[POEM] A glimpse of yourself

On a journey while chasing you dreams,
Running unfazed past unfortunate screams.

Making haste while ignoring the waste,
Eating food without savoring the taste.
Saving every penny for a better tomorrow,
Spending every moment in sheer sorrow.

Worrying about the uncertainty of the future,
While trying to fix your past with a suture.
Weeping inside just to make people smile,
Wondering what makes the sadness pile.

Sometimes entering a room without light,
While leaving a room not so bright,
Getting entranced by a sudden fright,
Without noticing that you lack sight.

Reaching the goal sure is an important thing,
But it is all meaningless if you're not living.

[POEM] Sometimes I Wonder

Sometimes I wonder how much do you know about me,
About my conflicted thoughts to be free.

Things that I dream of, colourful and bright,
Dreams that often keep me up at night.
Feelings that I fight, with all my might,
Fights that I win, while losing my sight.

My deepest fears that haunt my life,
My happiest memory of someone in the afterlife.
Secrets that have become habits over time,
Memories of an abandoned partner in crime.

Choices that make or break a person,
Sometimes either make the condition worsen.
About the wrong choice I was forced to make,
But was the right one, mine to take?

About my present influenced by the future,
Or my past which was an eternal torture.
Yesterday, which was to provide exposure,
Or today, which brought no closure.

Sometimes I wonder how much do you know about  me,
About my struggles to find the real me.

[Anime Review]Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion

Let me start off by saying that this review will be completely spoiler free, so if you are planning to watch Code Geass, do read this out as it may help you figure out if it is worth your time or not.
Code Geass seems to be a very promising anime if you are into some mecha action thriller. There are times when it takes you right to the edge of your seat. Does the anime deviate from its genre? No. It has a semi decent plot which isn’t that appealing.
The Holy Empire of Britannia has invaded Japan and taken over it and is now named Area 11. All the Japanese people are now called 11s or numbers and are discriminated. Lelouch vi Britannia or Lelouch Lamperouge or LuLu, our main character, was a former Prince of Britannia. He gets a supernatural power of the “kings” or the “geass”, where he can command a person to do something and the person has to obey him. There are many instances where he treats people just like his pawns on a chessboard and does not care about the lives or equality or anything along that line. He is however shown to have certain amount of sympathy for the oppressed which does not translate/ fall in line with his actions on the battlefield. What he cares about is to make the world a better place for his younger sister to live in fearlessly. While to some, Lelouch may seem like an inspiring figure due to his extraordinary strategies on the battle field, to me, he is just a shallow person who disregards human lives and is motivated only by revenge.
Our second most important character or the deuteragonist is Suzaku Kururugi, he is the childhood friend or best friend of Lelouch, he is also the son of late last Prime minister of Japan, currently in the Britannian military as an Honorary Britannian. Now during all my time of watching anime, I have never encountered a character so frustrating (school days excluded) that it almost sends you chills down your spine. Kururugi is a person who believes that change can be brought from within the Britiannian Rule, without resorting to violence. While we applaud this kind of noble line of thinking of Kururugi, he fails terribly whenever the violence is done under “orders”. In fact, Kururugi, in an indirect way, supports(by turning a blind eye to) the killing of innocent Japanese people. This world is doomed when those with power to stop a calamity, chose to turn a blind eye to it. Oh and don’t be mistaken, he doesn’t miss a single opportunity to behave like a self righteous person. He operates an overpowered mecha bot called Lancelot, with which he enters the battle very late, due to orders, of course. One can always justify anything if they are “ordered” to do it.
This is the first season of the anime revolves around how Lelouch starts a rebellion against the Britannian empire in an attempt to overthrow the emperor. So if you’re interested to see how things turn out in the future seasons, you will have to bear with this 25 episode long series of frustrating episodes. Personally, I’d like to recommend you to not think much about their character and just enjoying it superficially, it really helps.
Final words, i would like to give this anime a 7/10 due to the action mecha and animation.
